Parenting Resources
Infant Swimming Resource is dedicated to preventing infant drowning. This infant/child aquatic survival program, while teaching your baby or child to save his/her own life, also builds confidence and incredible swimming skills within 3-6 weeks. My son Phoenix (at age 3), who was not often around water or swimming pools, was swimming on his own (head in the water with eyes open) within the first 2-3 days of his first exposure to the ISR Program. Phoenix is now able to swim and float effortlessly on his own (with parental supervision of course). I feel confident that if he was ever in a potential drowning situation, that he could save his own life with the skills he gained. I consider the Infant Swimming Resource Program one of the most important things I have given to my child, because it is a life-saving skill. Please visit www.infantswim.com or contact Certified ISR Instructor Alicia Gilbert at (858) 832-1167 for more information. The Parent Connection (affiliated with Scripps Health) is a non-profit parenting support network of more than 3,500 San Diego families. The Parent Connection offers first-time and seasoned parents a wide-range of services, education, information on local events and social activities including a Playgroup referral program. Yearly membership is $20 and includes a monthly newsletter magazine. Please call (858) 626-6944 for more information or to request a sample newsletter.
